In front of large crowds in Pittsburgh there was tough competition for top spot at the Three Rivers Regatta as OCM took the first and third heats. This put an end to Livorsi’s flawless winning streak.

In heat 2 newcomers Mike Sadlon and Dr. Rob Callery in Miss Vero Beach showed their competitive edge by taking an early lead. Andy Biddle and Tracy Blumenstein relentlessly hunted them down finally overtaking them in lap 6. OCM starting on the outside came from behind to take fourth place.
Father and son team Bill and Elijah Kingery fared well in the match racing but suffered engine problems and were not able compete in heat 3.

Eric Tredwell and Steve Gray in Pier 57 fought hard for critical championship points finishing third overall. Despite the two heat wins OCM and Livorsi were tied in weekend points. Livorsi ended up on top as a result of recording a 9 second advantage in the overall race times.
